What is STAROS Kiosk Lockdown App?
The Staros Kiosk Lockdown App transforms Android tablets into secure, dedicated kiosks for various applications, such as retail, food service, exhibitions, medical centers, and public institutions. The app prevents unauthorized access, protects against malicious software, and ensures devices are used solely for their intended purpose .

Key Updates Include:
Enhanced Error Recovery: The online HTML refresh feature has been renamed "Error Recovery Refresh." When enabled, webpages experiencing errors will automatically refresh, ensuring continuous operation. Disabling the feature will prevent auto-refreshing. The Local HTML refresh retains its original name and functionality.

Simplified USB Content Import: A new dialog has been added to facilitate the import of musea.zip content via USB drive.

NTP Server Configuration: Users can now configure Network Time Protocol (NTP) servers for accurate time synchronization.

Musea Statistics Reporting: Musea statistics reporting is now enabled, with data uploaded every 3 hours for performance monitoring and analysis.

Streamlined Playlist Management: The update introduces support for pushing multiple Musea playlists to devices simultaneously, simplifying content deployment.

Improved Startup Experience: The network timeout "SKIP" popup has been removed from the startup screen for a smoother initial user experience.

Comprehensive Browser Cache Clearing: Cache clearing functionality has been expanded to include cookies, in addition to existing cache and history clearing.

Clearer Key Expiration Notifications: The key expiration prompt has been updated with clearer messaging and a direct redirect button to system settings for easy license management.

Intuitive Scheduled Power Controls: The Scheduled Power On/Off UI has been redesigned with larger controls for improved usability.

Removal of Import/Export Functionality: The IMPORT/EXPORT feature has been removed.

Full Browser Mode Enhancements: Issues with full screen video playback and soft keyboard activation in full Browser mode after switching from full screen have been resolved.

Starcontrol Improvements: Document upload reporting for .txt and .json files has been fixed in Starcontrol. The last online display now shows "N/A" for first-time registered devices until their initial disconnection.
